Paso a Paso is a proposal that responds to the building reality of our country: self-growth. The proposal is a synthesis of the requirements of the client, Casita Linda, by requesting two prototypes: one story and two story. Casita Linda's current prototypes, although aesthetic, efficient and dignified, lack the possibility of adaptation and additional growth on the part of their inhabitants. They respond to a limited need in time without allowing for future changes.

Paso a Paso is a one and a half story house that allows a progressive and planned self growth in three stages. The house begins as a free and flexible space, in which, with minimal interventions, it is possible to subdivide it into two rooms, a social area and a loft of up to 100% of the footprint of the property.

A second stage contemplates the construction, by the user, of 50% of the walls of the second story, until it reaches two and a half story on the same footprint.

The third stage consists of the construction of 50% of the walls of the third level, in order to be able to place a loft area. The construction of the roof to achieve these growths has been solved with a light, durable and insulating roof (frame with wooden drum, insulating fiber and exterior sheeting), hinged on one of its long ends, to be able to adapt to any of the three stages without the need to be disassembled.

The progressive growth characteristic of the proposal will generate a sense of belonging and personalization, as well as a sustainable housing model that can be adapted over time based on the tastes, needs and possibilities of its future inhabitants.
