The proposal to intervene in the jungle enhances and celebrates its surroundings, rising from the terrain to safeguard the natural ecosystem. Without damaging the jungle, a grid of wood structure rises to generate terraces and views towards the Pacific Ocean. The modular structure presents possibilities of positive and negative spaces to accommodate the intimate areas while the circulations are through terraces with panoramic views.
"...design follows life and form follows feeling". ESCUCHA strives to be with the land, not on the land, framing nature through forms and textures that enhance their surroundings, to find harmony with nature in order to connect people with place and create a unique sense of belonging within its surrounding environment.
